Autumn Foods!

As mentioned before, it is good to eat foods that are in season as they are likely to have a higher nutrient content, are fresher and (hopefully) less expensive!  It also means  more variety which is really important for good health.

Here are some  Autumn  Season fruit and veg:

Fruit:  Apples, Bananas, Berries, Grapes, Grapefruit, Guava, Kiwifruit, Limes, Mandarins (Imperial), Nashi, Oranges (Valencia, Navel), Passionfruit, Pears, Quinces,  Persimmons, Pomegranate, Rhubarb, Strawberries

Vegetables: Beans, Broccoli, Brussel Sprouts, Capsicum, Carrots, Cauliflower, Celery, Chillies, Chinese Cabbage, Leek, Mushrooms, Okra, Onions, Potato, Pumpkin, Silverbeet, Spinach, Sweet corn, Sweet Potato, Tomatoes, White Turnip
