Diagnostic Testing

At Avedissian Natural Health we may use diagnostic testing. This can be useful and helps with treatment choices plus gives a baseline against which to measure health improvements.

Vitality, Longevity and Healthy Ageing (VLA) Testing:  As a qualified Vitality, Longevity and Healthy Ageing (VLA) Practitioner, Michelle Avedissian can use clinical tools to assess you

* Body composition (muscle and fat mass)

* Hydration levels

* Health status including fluid balance which can show inflammation and a biomarker for your cellular age.

VLA testing is fantastic for monitoring weight loss to ensure fat is lost and NOT muscle.  It is also great for athletes, those on an anti-ageing program or anyone with an interest in their health!

Zinc test: This is a simple taste test which tests for zinc deficiency.  Stress, poor diet or infection can drain the body of zinc very quickly.

Urinary pH Levels: This urine test provides information on the acidity of the body. Acidity is common and can lead to ill-health.

FUNCTIONAL PATHOLOGY TESTS (THROUGH EXTERNAL LABS):

CDSA – Complete Digestive Stool Analysis: This test is useful for people with digestive problems or chronic health complaints. It tests digestive function and bowel flora.

Salivary Hormone Testing (Oestrogen, Progesterone, Testosterone): Saliva testing reflects the un-bound ’free’ hormones, that is the hormones that are more readily available to the cells of the body. These ’free’ hormones better reflect hormone-related symptoms, rather than total or bound hormone levels that are measured in the blood. These tests are excellent for people with symptoms of hormonal imbalances.

Salivary Adrenal Hormone Testing: Salivary adrenal hormone testing tests the levels of the stress hormones Cortisol and DHEA-S. This test is helpful for people with stress related symptoms.

Allergy Testing: These tests are useful for identifying food intolerances and/or environmental and food allergies.

Hair Mineral Analysis: This is a safe, non-invasive way of measuring the levels of nutrients and toxic metals found in hair.

There are many other tests we can refer you for.  Please contact Michelle Avedissian on 0412 007 708 if you would like to discuss specific tests.
